Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy governs how event organizers (sellers) and attendees (buyers) may use TicketGuru. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.
2. Who may sell
Only legitimate event organizers may list and sell tickets, and only after identity and bank-account verification and approval by TicketGuru. Organizers must provide accurate business and contact details and sign our organizer agreement.
3. Prohibited events & listings
No illegal events, fraudulent or misleading listings, counterfeit or duplicate tickets, events promoting violence, hatred or discrimination, or anything that breaches Kenyan law or Paystack's prohibited-business rules. Listings must accurately describe the event, date, venue, and ticket terms.
4. Prohibited buyer conduct
No payment fraud, stolen-card use, chargeback abuse, tampering with or duplicating QR codes, or reselling tickets above face value. Tickets are cryptographically signed and validated at entry.
5. Accurate information
All parties must keep their account, event, and payout information accurate and up to date. Bank-detail changes trigger a security review window before payouts resume.
6. Enforcement
We may suspend listings, withhold or reverse payouts, issue refunds to affected buyers, remove content, or terminate accounts that breach this policy, and we cooperate with payment partners and authorities on fraud.
7. Reporting
Report a suspicious event, listing, or transaction to support@ticketguru.co.ke and we will investigate promptly.
